Omega fatty acids are detrimental supplements that offer various benefits to the body. These fatty acids are part of the family of fats that are essential to our body. Unfortunately, the human body cannot produce some of these fats which means we need to incorporate it in part of our diet or our daily supplements. This fatty acid is beneficial to us as it helps to reduce inflammation, helps build cell membranes, reduces blood clotting and many more.

Fatty acids can be classified into two categories one being saturated and the other being unsaturated. Saturated fatty acids are fats that have a single bond between molecules and are highly saturated with hydrogen molecules. This includes butter, cheese and some oils like coconut oil. Unsaturated fatty acids are fats which have one or more double/triple bonds which can be found between molecules. This includes oils like canola or corn as well as fatty fish like salmon.

Unsaturated fats are known to have many health benefits where as saturated fats can lead to increased levels of cholesterol which will then increase risks of heart disease. There are many types of omega fatty acids but the most common types are Omega-3, 6 and 9. Omega 3 and 6 are essential and are from the polyunsaturated fat family. These types can not be produced by our body and needs to be taken by food or as supplements. Omega 9 comes from the family of monosaturated fats which our body can form from any unsaturated fat we intake.

The benefits of Omega 3-6-9 contains the benefits of all three individual fatty acids. It can be effective for the overall well being by:

  • Maintaining acceptable cholesterol levels
  • Maintain cardiovascular health
  • Enhanced brain function
  • Keeps skin flawless and glowing
  • Supports healthy development
